St. Petersburg Branch of IRTC “Eye microsurgery” named after academician S.N. Fyodorov is the leading ophthalmic center in North-Western part of Russian Federation that provides 50% of all ophthalmic service in St. Petersburg. History of surgical vision correction starts in the middle of 70-ties, when academician S.N. Booking an appointment for diagnostic examination at excimer laser correction department If You wish to make laser vision correction at our clinic, You can book an appointment for preoperative diagnostic examination by phone: (812) 324-66-66 on weekdays from 9-00 to 17-30. Reservations are made 2-3 months in advance.
Preoperative examination helps not only to check the state of Your eyes and visual acuity, but also to determine the vision correction program. To undergo the diagnostic examination, You need to come at office №200 (2nd floor) on the specified date.
For making out medical documentation, You need to have a passport with You. Please, take along all the medical documentation for the last 2-3 years to estimate the dynamic pattern of Your visual acuity for the last 2-3 years
.Usually preoperative examination and consultation take about 2-3 hours. Additional examinations can be done at the same day or another, if necessary, and may require extra payment.
Before laser correction surgery You need to undergo Wasserman reaction or micro reaction blood test. For convenience, it can be done at our clinic on operation day.
Usually, laser vision correction is performed within two weeks after preoperative examination. Do not use makeup on surgery day. You need to have sunglasses with You.
On operation day You need to to come at office №200 (2nd floor) on specified time.
Laser vision correction takes place in a special operating room located on the 1st floor of operating and diagnostic module of the clinic.

After laser correction surgery, You will need to use eye drops as prescribed. Eye drops can be bought at any drugstore before operation.
You would be recommended by ophthalmologist to undergo a follow-up check the next day after operation. Further examinations are done when necessary and if Your consulting doctor prescribes.
